The National Cocker Championship (NCC)

The National Cocker Championship is the culmination of the field trial year. To qualify a dog must have received a placement in an Open field trial within the previous three years. At the Nationals dogs must complete five land series as well as a water series in order to finish and be eligible for a placement. The first four series are run in brace; in other words two dogs run on parallel adjacent courses. Dogs that are called back to the fifth and final series run one at a time, with both judges watching.
